Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a Full Member?
Full Membership requires successful accreditation by CSN. This involves completing a recognised formation programme (minimum 2 years), demonstrating the required competencies, and committing to our Code of Ethics and ongoing supervision. If you’re currently in formation, you can join as an Associate Member and transition to Full Membership upon accreditation.
I'm already accredited with another body. Can I join CSN?
Yes! You’re welcome to join as an Affiliate Member to access our formation events and Carmelite resources. If you wish to become a Full Member with listing on our Public Register, you would need to apply through our accreditation process, though your existing formation and experience would be taken into account.
When does my membership year run?
Membership runs for 12 months from the date you join or renew. You’ll receive a reminder one month before your membership expires.
What if I can't afford the membership fee?
We don’t want finances to be a barrier. Members experiencing hardship may apply to the President for a reduced rate or deferred payment. All such requests are treated confidentially.
Can I change my membership category?
Yes. If your circumstances change — for example, you gain accreditation and wish to upgrade from Associate to Full Membership — just contact us. Upgrades are charged pro-rata for the remainder of your membership year.
